Small patents and big benefits ---- layered injection

I graduated from high school in Shanghai in 1968. I came to an township mold factory in the suburbs of Changzhou as an apprentice. I missed the college entrance examination. (Because I have a good academic record, I was sent to the Shanghai Foreign Studies University by the school, but the country canceled the college entrance examination.) I have made up my mind to make a decision. Since I can't do it at the university, I have to do a mold job. I must mix my personal samples in the mold industry.
I was hungry to collect and learn any information about molds that I could find at home. (The information that I could find at the time was really pitiful) I studied hard. In order to fill the heart because of the deprivation of the qualifications of college students.
In the cold winter at the end of 1970, a “metal material cold extrusion technology exhibition” was held at the Shanghai Huxi Workers' Club. This is a learning opportunity that I have always dreamed of. I was so ecstatic that I rushed to Changzhou from Changzhou (the traffic was underdeveloped, it was a slow train, it was not easy). Generally, workers in Shanghai can enter the market with their work permits. Although I am talking about the standard Shanghai dialect, but because my work permit is “social factory” (now called township enterprise), the guard will not let me in. And talked about some words that make "country people" very difficult to accept. I feel a shame and shame. However, I still want to thank the guardian, saying the psychological words, this "insult" incident is the main driving force for many inventions and creations in the future. (People are such simple exhibitions are not seen, parents are learning in the five. Seven dry schools, it is very late to be able to go home, (the days when the cadres were really bad) no one at home, I can only bra The cold wind swept around People’s Square.
In the long row of kitchen windows on the right side of Nanjing Road on the right side of the North Gate of the People's Park, there are publicity paintings and models for the various factories in the exhibition. One of the models has deeply attracted me. That is a model of bicycle tires produced by a rubber factory in Shanghai. Ten floors, will move. I was so fascinated that I stood at 5 degrees and stood for more than two hours. I didn’t know if my feet were frozen.
It would be nice if the injection mold could be made into such a multi-layer. But I also know how easy it is to actually produce. When rubber tires are produced, the sheets used to produce the tires are placed in layers by hand. The tires that are made are taken out one by one by hand. It uses the simple principle that the force and reaction force between each layer cancel each other out. The vulcanization press actually uses only one layer of pressure to complete the ten-layer work. However, the action process of the injection mold is completely different, and the action of the injection mold is continuous and fully automatic. How does the melted plastic automatically enter each layer, and how does the solidified product automatically come out from each layer? This problem has puzzled me for decades. I often dream of stacking layers of layers together. The product falls like a waterfall. After all, it is a dream of Nanke. With my knowledge, I can't turn it into a fact.
Fortunately, in 1977, the country resumed the college entrance examination. I participated in and admitted to the university (now Jiangsu University). After entering the university campus that was ten years late, I was so excited that I burst into tears. In the four years of college life, I learned to "live" like crazy. I learned a lot of basic knowledge necessary for mold design and manufacturing, and I learned a lot about computer knowledge.
Now, with the development of 3D software, our thinking can fly freely in the simulated 3D space. My decades of experience in making molds can be extended infinitely in the visible "space" of the computer screen. The "multi-layer injection mold", which I dreamed of, finally achieved a breakthrough in 2006. Now I have successfully researched the fourth layer, using the three-dimensional simulation function of the computer, and using the reliable mechanism of the mold, the molten plastic is smoothly entered, and the solidified product is fully automated. Looking back, it is actually very simple, but it is also a small invention, and got the national patent. (ZL 2007 2 0037950.7)
The following example shows the hangers sold in the supermarket. The sales volume is very large, but the weight is only 29 grams. The actual projected area is not large, but the area occupied by the mold parting surface is very large, so each set of molds The number of cavities is not much. The size of the product is small, but the route of plastic is long. It must be produced with a larger injection molding machine. It is a typical example of very low power utilization.

I have been to many factories that make plastic hangers. They use a two-cavity mold with a 150-ton injection molding machine. Ideally, the output is 14,000 per 24 hours. (This data comes from a plastic hanger manufacturer in Hangtou Town, Nanhui District, Shanghai)
Using this patent, the mold can be designed as follows:

Strong water cooling and air release. The same injection molding machine, the same operator, produced 40,000 pieces per 24 hours. A single product reduces power consumption by 55%. Labor costs have fallen by 70%.
In fact, many plastic products can be produced with this technology, especially flat-shaped products, the effect is very obvious. As long as the order quantity is large enough, the plastic products factory that belonged to the micro-profit industry immediately became a high-profit factory. I want to think about it, I would also like to thank the hateful "guard" of the "Huxi Workers Club".
Since the production of plastic products is a super-power user, if the world promotes this technology, the price of crude oil will drop at least a few percentage points. If the factory using this technology competes with the current plastic products factory that is doing similar products, it is like driving a "BMW" with a bicycle.
This is not a science fiction, it is a real invention. From conception to realization, it has been 40 years. Under the same production conditions, the output of plastic products can be increased by 3 to 4 times, and the cost per piece of processing can be reduced by 45%. Moreover, plastic products suitable for this technology account for more than 40% of the weight of all plastic products in the world.
It is not difficult to foresee that this small invention will have a revolutionary impact on the global plastics processing industry. (Post-filled: The invention won the prize in the 2008 Pudong Invention Contest) However, there is also a very negative evaluation: What is the invention, only save the electricity and labor costs for the boss, you know, if the promotion is comprehensive, the boss is made, but the plastic More than half of the people in the industry are unemployed. Does the country dare to promote it?
I can't help but ask, should the earth turn around? The answer is yes. It’s that we went to the zoo to see the monkeys. It’s definitely not a monkey to see us in the “Xijiao Park”.
