Applying some new materials to knitted sweaters is undoubtedly an important way to produce high value-added products.

With the development of clothing individuation, the fiber raw materials of knitted sweaters are no longer limited to warm wool and acrylic fibers, but new types of fibers with certain characteristics are applied to the design of sweaters to achieve different styles. . The idea of ​​the development of PTT spun yarn is to make full use of the excellent performance of various fibers and play a complementary role to further improve the application advantages of PTT fibers in the field of knitted sweaters.

The PTT spun yarns used to develop knitted sweaters can be classified into two-in-one and three-in-one. Two of the components include PTT/cotton and PTT/bamboo, and the third component includes PTT/wool/celebre, PTT/wool/modal and PTT/moisture wicking/tweeting.

The purpose of blending PTT with natural fibers is to impart natural fiber characteristics to yarns and fabrics, while improving PTT's defects in moisture absorption, antistatic, etc., blending with wool, and avoiding fabric yellowing; blending with natural fibers On the basis of adding some new fibers such as Tencel, we can better improve the functionality of yarns and fabrics. For example, the new PTT fiber has good elasticity and can improve the shape retention of the knitted sweater. The use of Tencel fiber can make the sweater have better softness and drape, but it does not lose the body bone, and has strong moisture absorption and permeability, even if repeated washing, Sunlight does not lose many health functions and is not easy to pill; Modal fiber can significantly enhance the fabric's hot and humid comfort, improve the fabric's luster and feel; moisture wicking polyester fiber can be applied to knitted sweaters to make it wet fast Dry, keep the skin dry and comfortable; bamboo fiber can make the fabric more air permeability, but also has antibacterial effect.

The above materials were used to weave single-sided and double-sided tissues on a 14G flat knitting machine. The finishing process is as follows:

(1) Detergent Shande net 0.5%, bath ratio 1:30, wash at 60°C for 10 minutes; (2) rinse with warm water of 40-50°C twice, and then rinse with clean water; (3) softener WA LIQ 2ml/L, acetic acid 0.5ml/L, bath ratio 1:30, soaking at 50°C for 20 minutes; (4) Dehydration and drying.

PTT staple fabrics are soft and smooth, and can reduce the amount of additives when finishing. The finished fabric is neat and soft and plump.

After performance testing, the developed knitted sweater fabric has the following characteristics:

The fabric has suitable elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions and has excellent elastic recovery properties. The fabric has a slight pilling phenomenon, but because the strength of the PTT blended yarn is relatively low, the hairball tends to fall off, and the pilling resistance is better overall. Due to the excellent elasticity of the PTT fiber itself, the fabric has better wrinkle resistance. As the blended yarn contains natural fibers and some functional fibers, the fabric's hot and humid comfort is significantly improved. The fabric has a novel drape. The fabric is soft and light, with a cashmere-like feel. Due to the addition of PTT elastic fibers to the blended yarn, the dimensional stability of the fabric is significantly improved.
